Great Deal! Orlando to Costa Rica Non-stop for $216 RT

New JetBlue fare sale to the Caribbean and Latin America!

JetBlue is back with another sale. This time to destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean! You have until tomorrow to book, for travel between 1/23 and 3/13/19. The lowest fares are for travel on Sunday through Thursday. Beware of blackout date between 2/13 and 2/18.

The best deals seem to be fares as low as $94 from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando to destinations including:

  • Aruba
  • Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena, Colombia
  • Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica
  • Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
  • Nassau, Bahamas
  • Mexico City, Mexico
  • San José, Costa Rica

If you live near Orlando or Fort Lauderdale, or can get there without much trouble, and can book a trip on short notice, this can be a very good deal. Since JetBlue points are a fixed value and the number of points needed for a flight goes up or down based on the price, this would also be a great time to use points.

Let’s take a look at the Orlando to San José, Costa Rica flight, since I have flown this many times and have a good idea of the value.

For dates in February, you can fly this non-stop route for as little as $216 roundtrip! Or if you prefer to save even more cash, you could book it for 7,000 TrueBlue points and $70.52!

Orlando to San José, CR for $94 one way!
Or you can book the same flights for 7,000 pts and $70.52!
The return flight is a little more expensive due to the CR departure tax!

Is this a good deal?

Yes, it’s a great deal! I have paid as much as $750 for these exact flights. Since Spirit became the only other airline to fly this route non-stop, it has brought prices down some, but rarely are prices below $300 roundtrip.

Final Thoughts:

This is just one example of the potential that this sale offers. If you were thinking of getting away this winter, this could be a great time to take a look at the Caribbean and Latin America destinations in this JetBlue sale!
